13 October 2008 The league starts this week and with a lot more teams than last year. Everybody is looking forward to the games ahead of them. 3rd March 2008 The club has been selected by the Olympic Committee as a Pre Games Training Camp. Teams from all over the world can have the chance to come and train at our club to get ready for the 2012 Olympic Games. 26th February 2008 On Sunday 16th March from 10 am to 5 pm there is a Sport Relief fundraising day at Okehampton College with the run a mile event but also other sports taking part in the day itself. This club being one of them. There will be a table with some of our coaches and also the robot will be on show. Hope you can come and support the event. 12th December 2006 The first half of the season has finished and the play has been very good. Everybody is looking forward to the second half of the season starting in the new year. 15th November 2006 This years veterans tournament has been canceled due to a low intake of players. We hope to hold another one soon 11th October 2006 A 5 day coaching workshop for players is being held on Monday 23rd October to Friday 27th October 2006, to request an entry form please either phone our Coaching Officer on 07976 604563 or email on okecoaching@yahoo.co.uk 10th September 2006. This years Vetts tournament will be played at Okehampton on the 18th and 19th of November 2006, to request an entry form please email (oketournaments@yahoo.co.uk) the closing date for entry forms is the 18th of October 2006, the players will be drawn on the 19th of October 2006. 3rd September 2006. The second friendly between Devon, Wiltshire and Somerset was played yesterday Wiltshire won with 62 points, second were Okehampton with 51 points, Somerset had 31 points. Well done to everyone who took part! 26th August 2006. The 2nd friendly between Devon, Wiltshire and Somerset, which was very popular last year, will be played on the 2nd of September, Okehampton will put in a stronger team than last year. 15th of April 2006. 1st year for Ron Venton Cup between Poole in Dorset and Okehampton, excellent days play, very close competition, but Okehampton won it just! Colin McLean gave a speech and thanked everybody for coming and all that went on to organize it, and next year we go to them, and they will try harder to win the trophy. |
